What's the difference between Early Access and full launch?

Early Access is a way of releasing a game while it's still being built. Rather than waiting until everything's finished, we've opened SEED up earlier: you buy it, you play the real thing now, and the game keeps growing around you. It isn't a demo or a time-limited beta, it's the actual game, live and permanent, just not yet in its final form. The trade-off is an honest one: you get in early and help shape where SEED goes, and in return you'll see features still being added, systems that change over time, and the occasional rough edge. Your feedback during this period genuinely shapes development.

For most games, Early Access just means playing a work-in-progress. SEED is different, because SEED is one shared, persistent world that runs 24/7. It doesn't reset between sessions, and everyone lives in the same Avesta. So joining in Early Access isn't only playing early, it means being among the first to arrive on Avesta and help found its very first societies. The alliances, laws, economies and conflicts early players create become part of the world's history and shape it for everyone who arrives later.

In practical terms, Early Access for SEED means:

  • Launches 21 July 2026 on PC and Mac, via the standalone SEED Launcher (plus the mobile Companion App).

  • The world is live, persistent and permanent from day one - your Seedlings, society and progress continue whether you're watching or not.

  • SEED keeps evolving with regular updates; there's no fixed "finished" date, and it's developed transparently alongside the community.

  • Coming to Steam later in 2026: the same living world on a new storefront.
