Quickstart Guide
Welcome to Avesta, Cultivator! Here's what to focus on first.
Follow PAM's objectives
When you arrive, PAM gives you a set of Objectives to complete. Work through these first — they walk you through the basics and unlock new capabilities for your Seedling. If you get stuck, ask PAM!
Already know how something works? You can now skip objectives you've done before. Look for the skip option when an objective comes up.
Set a schedule
Open your Seedling's Scheduler. This is how you tell your Seedling what to do and when. Create a new event, set a time and length, then pick a focus:
Address Needs — keeps your Seedling fed, rested, and hydrated automatically
Harvest — assign harvesting for resources you've marked in the world (raw lumber, stone, water, algae)
Produce — once you have a machine set up, assign production tasks here
Without a schedule, your Seedling will wander. Getting a basic one set up is your first real job.

Mark things for autonomous harvest
Mark trees, water, and stone so your Seedling gathers them automatically during scheduled harvest time.
One thing to watch: don't over-harvest early on. Raw resources like algae and mushrooms decay quickly. If your Seedling hauls back more than you can store or use, it'll rot into biomass before you get to it. Harvest what you need, not everything in reach.

Get the basics: shelter and survival
In the early Expedition tier, focus on these essentials:
Place the survival workbench from the Kernel to start crafting
Tell your Seedling to assemble it
Set a task to build some tents
Set a task to build a campfire
Set a task to build the basic workbench
Once crafted, place your tents and other items to put them to use
Raw algae and murky water will keep your Seedling alive in the short term. Start working toward clean water early. Get a water pump set up as soon as you can — running out of water is one of the most common early disasters, and it's very avoidable if you prioritise it.

Follow the Society Goals
Open the Society Panel to see your Society Goals. These are your shared roadmap as a community. Completing them advances your society through tiers, unlocking new buildings, roles, and features. When you're not sure what to work on next, the Goals will tell you.
