Quickstart Guide

Welcome to Avesta, Cultivator! Here's what to focus on first.

Follow PAM's Objectives

When you arrive, PAM will give you a set of Objectives — complete these first. They walk you through the basics and unlock new capabilities for your Seedling. If you get stuck - Ask PAM!

Set a Schedule

Open your Seedling's Scheduler. This is how you tell your Seedling what to do and when. Start with these priorities. Open the scheduler and create a new event.

  • Set a time and length of the activity
  • Add a focus:
    • Address Needs — keeps your Seedling fed, rested, and hydrated automatically
    • Harvest — assign harvesting for resources you've marked in the world (raw lumber, stone, water, algae)
    • Produce — once you have a machine set up, assign production tasks here

Without a schedule, your Seedling will wander. A basic schedule is your first real task as a Cultivator.

Mark things for autonomous harvest

Make sure to mark trees, water, stone for autonomous harvest. Your Seedling will automatically gather them when their schedule time dictates it.

Get the Basics: Shelter and Survival

In the early Expedition tier, focus on these essentials:

  • Place the survival workbench from the Kernel to start crafting
    • Tell your seedling to assemble it
    • Set a task to build some tents
    • Set a task to build a campfire
    • Set a task to build the basic workbench
  • Crafted items will be hauled back to the Kernel. Make sure to place your tents and crafted items when they’re complete.

Raw algae and murky water will keep your Seedling alive in the short term, but start thinking about upgrading — Keep working through that crafting chain to upgrade your habitat.

Follow the Society Goals

Open the Society Panel to see your Society Goals. These are your shared roadmap as a community — completing them advances your society through tiers, unlocking new buildings, roles, and features. They're also the fastest way to know what to work on next.

Ask for Help

SEED is a multiplayer game. Open Global Chat and introduce yourself — experienced Cultivators are usually happy to point new arrivals in the right direction.
