Joining an Existing Society
Joining an existing society is one of the best ways to hit the ground running — there's already infrastructure, resources, and experienced Cultivators to learn from. Here's how to make a good first impression and contribute quickly.
Find a society
When you first load in, you'll see a society selection screen with a few options.
The easiest starting point is the recommendation system, which suggests societies based on your play style. Each one comes with a confidence score, so you can get a sense of how well it fits before you commit. Sectors that are about to close are filtered out automatically and tagged "Closing Soon."
If you already know where you want to go, use Join an Open Lobby to browse active lobbies, or enter an Invite Code if a society leader has sent you one directly. If you want to search manually, expand Show All Societies to get the full list with a search bar.
Many societies also recruit through the SEED Discord — worth checking before you decide.
Introduce yourself
Once you've arrived, open Global Chat and say hello. If the society has its own Discord channel, introduce yourself there too — it's where most coordination happens. Ask what the society needs most right now. Most established communities are genuinely glad to have new arrivals who ask good questions.
Set a schedule immediately
Don't wander. Open the Scheduler and set up a basic routine: address needs, harvest marked resources, and pick up any production tasks assigned to you. An idle Seedling in an established society is a missed opportunity.
Get a job
Open the Jobs app to browse available positions. Getting hired is the fastest way to contribute and earn SeedCoin. Check the hours and tasks carefully — make sure they don't conflict with anything else in your schedule.
Respect shared resources
In an established society, storage containers and buildings may belong to individuals or businesses. If something is accessible, it doesn't automatically mean it's free to take. When in doubt, ask in chat before helping yourself to materials.
